let your creative soul blossom

Released in the fall of 2010, Amy Butler’s Soul Blossoms fabric collection is both uplifting and refreshingly soulful.  Its vibrant colors awaken the senses while the sheer beauty of the designs provide an element of relaxation and sophistication. Inspired by the culture, rich colors and amazing textiles of the surroundings, Amy wanted to create a visual story of her travels to India. Her interpretation of this enchanting way of life provides us with dreamy jewels tones and multi-hued florals woven together in three harmonious collections:  Passion, Joy, and Bliss.  Each collection provides an allusion of a more exotic place with selections to match. Carmine Fuchsia Tree, Blush Peacock Feathers, Saffron Twilight Peony, Raspberry Sari Blooms and Mulberry Passion Lily are just to name a few. As the name implies, the Soul Blossoms fabric collection will hopefully help you find the inspiration you need to let your creative soul blossom!

about amy butler

Amy Butler - Art of the Midwest Studio

Amy Butler is an artist and designer who is known for her fresh modern approach to the printed fabric. Through her spirited combination of color and patterns, she brings a whole new style and life to the home, fashion and craft world.

Influenced at an early age by her mother and grandmother, Amy learned to sew at only seven years of age and always loved to create.  She attended art school where she developed her skills in fashion and surface design. She went on to write lifestyle and décor articles for Country Living Magazine while still sharing her creative designs by making small passport bags which she sold to select area shops.

In 1992, Amy and her artist and photographer husband, David, started the Art of the Midwest studio in Granville, Ohio.  Today, they and a small staff of friends continue to distribute Amy Butler fabrics, patterns, handbags, design/project books and home décor products worldwide. With millions of hits on her website each year and numerous public and editorial appearances, Amy’s brand of products has become globally recognized for creativity, quality and great style.   To learn more about Amy Butler and her amazing products, visit www.amybutlerdesign.com.

welcome!

If you enjoy Amy Butler designs, you've come to the right place! If you haven’t yet experienced the joy of working with Amy’s gorgeous fabric line and incredible patterns, you are in for a real treat. I enjoy sewing, crocheting and, like all artisans, love to ‘create’. I’ve dabbled in everything from handmade jewelry and soap making to watercolor and pattern design and I’m sure I’m not done yet.  I love working with color and design and combining the two to create great looks. I pay special attention to detail and I take pride in all that I do. And that is pretty much what my shop at www.buydesignfabrics.etsy.com  is all about. So enjoy browsing my selection of products and images. I'm hoping the combination of color and design will be an inspiration to you as well. ~ ♥ Happy Creating!!! ♥
